The triple offset Metal Seated butterfly valve by SUNAWE Valves is a reliable and high-performance valve that can be used for both cutting off and regulating the flow. It is designed to meet various application requirements and service conditions, ensuring dependability in its operation. This valve offers exceptional sealing performance, capable of handling pressures ranging from vacuum to 1500 PSI (103 Bar). Additionally, it can operate efficiently in extreme temperature conditions, withstanding temperatures as low as -425°F (-254°C) and as high as +1500°F (816°C).
Our metal-to-metal seal technology is designed to provide a leak-free seal with minimal torque. This seal is also fire-safe, providing peace of mind in potentially hazardous situations. Our standard seal ring material is stainless steel, but we also offer Stellite overlays for added durability. The resiliency of the seal ensures a tight seal with the seat, regardless of flow direction, ensuring full shutoff. Our triple offset butterfly valve is ideal for high-temperature and severe service applications, providing reliable bi-directional shutoff across the full pressure/temperature range. Our Shield valves TM also offer easy field replacement of both the seat and the seal ring, allowing for material substitutions as needed without having to replace the entire valve.

Triple Offset Geometry & Cutway
The cam-like motion of the valve stem is a result of its offset on both the X and Y axis of the centerline. Additionally, there is a third offset that includes an inclined conical profile on the valve sealing surface. This design feature enables rotary engagement and disengagement of the seal ring and seat without any interference. As a result, rubbing between the two components is eliminated completely.
The application of torque is essential in ensuring a bi-directional, zero leak, metal-to-metal seal when the seat and seal ring are fully engaged. This distinguishes triple offset valves from resilient or high-performance products, as they are commonly referred to as "torque" seated rather than "position" seated. To achieve the desired seal, torque is exerted, creating a reliable and robust connection between the valve components.
