Matters Needing Attention When Operating Forged Steel Valves And Their Classification

The issue of grease injection is often neglected in forged steel valves. When refueling the grease injection gun, the operator must select the appropriate low temperature shut-off valve and the method for connecting the grease injection. Then, the grease injection operation is carried out. In the case of forged steel valves, there are two possible scenarios. Firstly, if the amount of grease injected is insufficient, the sealing surface can quickly wear out due to lack of lubrication. On the other hand, excessive grease injection leads to wastage. This is because there is no precise calculation of the sealing capacity of different valve types based on their category. It is necessary to calculate the sealing capacity based on the size and type of the valve, and inject a reasonable amount of grease accordingly. To overcome these issues, it is crucial to pay attention to grease injection in forged steel valves in order to maintain their effectiveness and prevent unnecessary wear or wastage.

Pressure issues are often overlooked in forged steel gate valves. When conducting grease injection operations, the pressure can fluctuate, experiencing peaks and valleys. If the pressure is too low, it can result in seal leaking or safety valve failure. Conversely, if the pressure is too high, the grease injection port may get blocked, causing the sealing inner grease to harden or the sealing ring to become locked with the valve ball and valve plate. This is particularly common in small gate valves where the injected grease tends to flow into the bottom of the valve cavity. When dealing with excessively high grease injection pressure, it is essential to inspect the insulation gate valve and the grease injection nozzle. If the grease remote control float valve hole is blocked, it is necessary to ascertain that the spring is closed and the wrench is fully opened. Additionally, if the plunger stop valve hardens, it can be softened by repeatedly using cleaning fluid to dissolve the failed sealant and then replaced with fresh grease. It's worth noting that the type of seal and the sealing material can also influence the grease injection pressure. Different sealing forms require varying levels of grease injection pressure, with hard seals typically requiring higher pressure compared to soft seals.

When maintaining a forged steel globe valve, it is important to pay attention to the valve's position. Unlike ball valves, which are typically left in the open position during maintenance, other valves may need to be closed. The forged steel globe valve, in particular, should always be closed during maintenance to ensure that the sealing groove is properly filled with grease along the sealing ring. If the valve is left open, the grease will simply drop into the flow channel, resulting in waste.

Although grease injection is an important part of valve maintenance, it is often overlooked. Proper grease injection requires careful attention to pressure, injection volume, and valve position. In fact, it may be necessary to open or close the valve during grease injection in order to ensure that the lubricant is evenly distributed on the valve ball or gate plate.

Ultimately, maintaining a forged steel globe valve requires diligence and attention to detail. By following the proper maintenance procedures, you can ensure that your valve performs optimally over the long term.

When dealing with forged steel check valves, it is crucial to address the issue of valve body blowdown as well as the relief of pressure through wire plugs. During the valve pressing test, the temperature rise in the surrounding environment causes an increase in gas and moisture within the sealing cavity and valve cavity. Therefore, before injecting grease, it is important to discharge any sewage and release the pressure, ensuring a smooth grease injection process. Additionally, it is necessary to completely replace the air and moisture within the sealed cavity after grease injection. Timely release of the valve cavity pressure further guarantees the safety of the valve. After the grease injection, it is essential to securely tighten the drain and pressure relief plugs to prevent any potential accidents.

During the grease injection, special attention should be given to the issue of uniform grease distribution. The grease should follow a systematic path, starting from the grease injection port to the closest grease discharge hole, then moving towards the low point, and finally reaching the high point. This step-by-step grease discharge ensures proper flow and prevents any blockages. If the grease does not follow this pattern or if no grease is discharged, it indicates a potential blockage that needs immediate cleaning.
