Device test and adjustment of electric butterfly valve

Before leaving the factory, all types of butterfly valves, including manual, pneumatic, hydraulic, or electric ones, undergo thorough debugging to ensure their optimal performance. When double-checking the sealing capability during installation, it is important for the user to evenly fix both sides of the inlet and outlet to completely close the butterfly valve, ensuring that the valve is opposite to the inlet side. Furthermore, it is essential to apply pressure and carefully observe if there are any signs of leakage on the outlet side. Prior to conducting strength tests on the pipeline, it is advisable to open the disc plate of the butterfly valve to prevent any potential damage to safety valves such as air compressor safety valves, spring-loaded safety valves, micro-open safety valves, stainless steel safety valves, steam safety valves, or power station safety valves.

It is important to note that despite strict inspection and testing of the butterfly valve prior to shipment, there may be instances where the automatic screw may become displaced during transportation. In such cases, pneumatic, hydraulic, or other supporting equipment may need to be utilized to re-adjust the valve as necessary. It is recommended to refer to the operating instructions provided by the manufacturer for proper guidance on how to carry out any necessary adjustments.

To ensure proper operation of the electric butterfly valve, the opening and closing strokes have been pre-adjusted at the factory. However, during initial power-up, it's essential to prevent accidental mishaps by first setting the manual position to half-open. Only then should you proceed to test the electric switch, making sure that the indicator plate on the control mechanism moves in the same direction as the valve's closing direction. This simple step can save you a lot of trouble and ensure that your electric butterfly valve works flawlessly for years to come.
